Sid Sriram is one of the well known sensations in current generation. He has discovered music at very young age. He has learned a lot from his mum for Carnatic music at the age of three. He had the passion and motive to learn music and live with music. The Chennai born sensation was raised in the US at very young age. His initiative to become a singer has become a dream come true.
During Sid’s music journey he has developed his knowledge and influence through pop, R&B and Hip-Hop etc. His biggest influences were Justin Timberlake as well as Kanye West. Looking back those two icons music, it does really gives us the motivation to become a singer, it’s all because of the life of the music and singing with passion and that’s why Sid’s took them as influences. It has amazingly pushed Sid for his passion to become where he is right now.
In 2008 Sid has attended Berklee College of Musix. That’s when he seriously got into songwriting and started working on original dept of music world. His visionary of music has started from this point where he has got graduated at the year of 2012.
During when he was building his knowledge of music, at the year of 2010 has been working on a EP which was called “Be easy“ by the Acoustic sessions“. It was a huge boost for him where the EP itself received amazing response with over 10,000 downloads. That’s where he hit the chord and stwe’re to gain fans instantly.
Whether his covers vets or originals earned the top spots on leading charts. It’s all became because of his passion and hardwork.
Journey with Isai puyal
In many interviews Sid has stated that working with Rahman was a milestone moment for him. His first chance under Rahman music was Kadal for the song ‘Adiye’. As a listener when I first heard the song I felt the willingness that a guy could give a love to a girl. It was totally a different song from a generic love numbers.
Coming back to his journey with Isai Puyal. It was a dream come true for him. He never expected such a offer from one of the greatest. He sent a copy of his cover to Rahman to have a listen, but Rahman offered him the song from ‘Kadal’. Though he kept in confidential it was all for the best.
As a singer why Sid‘s is improving day by day is all because of what he learns from Rahman sir and his music. Sometimes life can be unpredictable but you will never know what the future holds. Example of Sid’s career is a major plus point we can learn day by day.
After he was giving continuous hits with Rahman. He started to get a lot of offers from all corners. Firstly I would like to talk about how Sid’s voice was apted for ‘Enthira Logathu sundari’ song.
The song is more about Love of robots, stating if robots were in love how would they experience it. Sid’s voice is very unique but Rahman explored his voice in various genres that can be expanded as Hip-Hop in Tamil. His voice was subtle which added extra charisma to the flow. That’s why it became a catchy song amongst music lovers.
Sid may have sung so many love songs but ‘ Thalli pogathe’ is the one to remember for years. The reason is how Rahman got us into the feeling of love. He wanted to give us old Rehamania magic mixing with new Rehemania magic. Since when he inserted Sid into the song it became one of those song that will
never be forgotten in million years. Sid’s magical voice has put extra sweetness into the song. Flow of his singing is what makes so connected.
After many many success he has given. Has his succes streak ended? NO. His live performances is what we all look forward to.
Generally in live performances it will be next level performances. Whether your singing melody or a dance number the fans has to have the feel of the goosebumps.
When Sid performs he instantly pull the crowd to sing along with him. How does he do the magic? His voice is one of the reasons. His voice is one of the most powerful tool we can experience, we will have the instant connection and get us blown away.
